Meeting in honour of Japanese equity investors at the Athens Stock Exchange at Greek Ambassador’s Residence in Tokyo
Meeting followed by a dinner in honour of 20 representatives of a number of prestigious Japanese stock exchange brokers' companies investing in the Athens Stock Exchange was organized at the Greek Ambassador's Residence on the 16th of February 2006.

Following an invitation by the Waseda University, Greek Ambassador K. Rodoussakis delivered a lecture on Greece's centuries' old history, as well as contemporary Greece, before a large audience of more than 200 students.

Naming Ceremony and Delivery of the newly built Greek ship “ARIANA” at the Sasebo Shipyard of the Sasebo Heavy Industries Co., Ltd
On the 28th of November the traditional naming as well as official delivery ceremony of the Greek ship "Ariana" took place at the Sasebo Shipyard of the Sasebo Heavy Industries Co. Ltd (SSK). “Ariana” is a Panamax type bulk carrier ship of 70,000 tons, belonging to the Greek Shipping Company "Andriaki". It is one of a series of three bulk carriers and tankers to be delivered by the abovementioned Japanese Shipyard to the same Greek company throughout the coming year (2006).

Planting ceremony of “Hippocrates trees” on the 16th of November
On the 16th of November 2005, the planting ceremony of Hippocrates trees (Hippocrates is from Greek island, Kos, and known as father of Medicine) was held at the Sumitomo Headquarter in Tokyo and attended by Ambassador of Greece, Kyriakos Rodoussakis.

EXPO 2005: National Day of Greece, May 20, 2005
Greek Pavillion at Aichi
The Natilonal Day for Greece has been set for the 20th of May 2005. A number of events will be carried out in the premises of the EXPO DOME (semi-sheltered domed area which has a capacity of 3000 people), the EXPO HALL (closed theatre with a seating capacity of 500 people) and the EVENT SPACE (open spaced area situated in front of the Greek Kiosk).

Financial Conference about Greece in Japan
With the title "Greece: European Opportunities in the Heart of South-Eastern Europe" will be held in Japan on May 18, 2005 a large financial conference with the Greek Minister of Finance and Economics as the main speaker. Modern Greece, the new development policies, the stable tax framework and the country's dynamic presence in the Balkans as a gateway to Europe will be presented.
