Continuing a tradition of exhibitions-tributes to key figures of nineteenth and twentieth century art (P. Picass¦Ï, 2004, J.Miro, 2002, Toulouse-Lautrec, 2001, H. Moore, 2000, A. Rodin, 1996, M. Chagall, 1994, and W. Kandinsky, 1989, among others), the Basil & Elise Goulandris Foundation, in collaboration with The Noguchi Museum (New York, USA), organizes this year a major exhibition dedicated to the work of influential Japanese-American artist Isamu Noguchi (1904¨C88).

Kalamata International Dance Festival: SABURO TESHIGAWARA / KARAS
Saburo Teshigawara comes from Tokyo. He has studied visual arts and classical dance. He began to choreograph at the age of 28. In 1985 he founded, together with the musician and dancer Kei Miyata, the dance company Karas, ("crow" in Japanese).

The Emperor of Japan awards Folli Follie President
On April 29, 2009, the Government of Japan announced that His Majesty the Emperor of Japan awarded Mr. Dimitrios Koutsolioutsos, President of Folli Follie S.A. the Order of the Rising Sun, Gold Rays with Neck Ribbon. In the announcement, the Japanese Government emphasized that the awarding was to specially commemorate Mr. Koutsolioutsos' contribution to promoting the economic relations amongst Greece and Japan.
