Japan's Foreign Minister Taro Aso has indicated that he has reports from the United States about the possibility of a second nuclear test by North Korea. But he added that he cannot elaborate.
Speaking to reporters on Tuesday, Mr Aso referred to US television network reports. Mr Aso said, "I have the information, but I can't elaborate."
US media reports say US intelligence has detected fresh signs that North Korea may be preparing for another nuclear test.
ABC News reported the story on Monday evening, quoting US officials.
The report says US spy satellites have picked up suspicious vehicle movements near the site where North Korea is believed to have conducted its nuclear test on October 9.
NBC News also reported fresh movements in the North.
