Last year proved to be the best of the last three in the local car market, with sales rising by 4.5 percent from 2006.

The sales chart has Toyota once again on top; the Japanese carmaker has increased its sales in Greece by 8.6 percent, reaching 27,701 units.

The biggest rise in percentage terms last year was for Daihatsu and Mini, with the former climbing 56 percent to reach 5,992 sales and the latter soaring by 62.5 percent to 1,718 sales.
