EU Film Days 2007
Mar 29, 2007
EU Film Days is a unique festival of film showcasing the diversity and distinction of European film-making. The fifth edition of the festival takes place in May 2007 and involves the cooperation of the embassies of EU Member States in Japan, a number of Member State cultural institutes, the National Film Centre of the National Museum of Modern Art, Tokyo (NFC), and the Delegation of the European Commission to Japan.
Twenty films from 20 of the countries that comprise the 27-member European Union will each be shown twice during a three-week period at the NFC as part of the 2007 EU-Japan Friendship Week.
The films selected for this year's EU Film Days show the variety of everyday life in Europe as EU citizens face challenges relating to rapidly changing societies and lifestyles. Themes such as the ageing society, economic transformation, multiethnic societies and related racial issues, along with more classic themes of love and teenage aspirations are all featured.
Admission is just ¥500 per person per film. Please note that advance bookings are not possible.
