The song of Iris
It is a butoh performance with two dancers, Yumiko Yoshioka and Evi Tzortzi, on a stage made by plexiglas.  Light-movement-music creates a space without limits of space and time.  The theme has to do with circles of life, which close and open based on archetypes, myths…  eternal circles.

The performance starts at 21:30, duration 70 minutes

Butoh
Butoh dance is a performing art that originated in Japan and was first performed in 1959.  Its founder is Tatsumi Hijikata and Kazuo Ohno.  It is a form of dance influenced by traditional Japanese dances and western forms of dance.
There are almost as many styles of butoh as there are performers, and so, it is hard to define for someone who has never seen it.
The most unconventional aspect of butoh is its movement and the preparation that the dancer undergoes to prepare for the dance.  It derives its power from what the individual who dances brings to it, in a very mental as well as physical sense.
Butoh has tremendous value as a training method for artists of other disciplines as well, and has philosophical impact also in Theatre, Writing, Music and other types of art.
