In January 2006, there has been an intense movement in deliveries of ships, built in Japan following relevant orders by Greek Shipping Companies. More specifically, the following ships, which are registered in Greek shipping registers, were delivered by various ports around Japan:

During February, a frigate ship “Talesman” is due to be delivered by the Japanese shipyards “Mitsui Engineering and Shipbuilding” in Chiba to the shipping company Naovis Shipping Co., S.A.
Furthermore, in the next few months, the delivery of another 4 frigate ships is due to take place. All of the above ships are going to be under Greek flag. According to estimations this movement in the shipping building industry, will remain high or even increase throughout the current year.
