In memory of Lefcadio Hearn (Koizumi Yakumo) illustrious writer who diffused the true Japanese spirit worldwide.
As a token of gratitude by the Japanese nation in the year 1932 (year 2592 of the Japanese Empire)

The Hellenic-Japanese Society of Tokyo and the Yakumo Association of Matsue
The inscription was restored by the Greek-Japanese Association in 1984
